When it all comes down, it doesnt really matter.

So I decided that if I get a job in correction I eventually want to try out for the c.e.r.t team (correctional emergency response team). This is the corrections version of the special weapons and tactics team used by law enforcement. They use similar tactics and weapons. Officer B says that the requirements for the sheriffs office are 50 push ups and sit ups in 90 seconds, run a mile in 10 minutes, and be able to bench press your own body weight one time. I am not even close to being able to do this but if I get the job, A) Ill be more motivated to work out, B) I can either talk Officer B into getting into shape or, be friends with corrections officers who work out. Its not so much the extra pay, although an extra 50$ a pay check would be nice, its more the bragging right and excitement that makes me want to try. Plus the fact that Im sure your more likely to be promoted if you're on the c.e.r.t team. But I think I am getting way ahead of myself seeing as how I might not even get the job. Here's to holding my breath though.
